Grammy Love Found For The Avett Brothers!

So even though the Avetts are not nominated for a Grammy it looks like they will be performing at the Grammys alongside Mumford and Sons and Bob Dylan. It is hinted that Mumford & Sons will perform their soaring, banjo-laced song “The Cave,” which will give way to the Avett Brothers and their pulsing folk anthem “Head Full of Doubt, Road Full of Promise.” Then Dylan will join the groups for a yet to be determined song. The official announcement is expected tomorrow.

Wow! This is so exciting for The Avett Brothers to have their music heard by such a large audience on music’s most prestigious awards day. I am so incredibly happy for them I am shaking a little. I can honestly say that it will be the first time in a long time that I am going to watch the Grammys. Maybe it was my post pleading for some Grammy love for the Avetts or maybe I wasn’t so far off in hoping they would some day perform the halftime show at the Superbowl so we could have some real entertainment. All I know is this is a big deal and big time! Thanks Bob Dylan for laying the landscape for this to happen. Yay Avetts–seriously good for you guys! You deserve it!
